The 2018 Law and Development Conference, co-hosted by the Law and Development Institute, Humboldt University Faculty of Law, and Walter de Gruyter GmbH, commemorates the tenth anniversary of Law and Development Review (LDR), currently the only peer-reviewed academic journal in existence devoted to law and development studies.
Seventeen leading scholars from the United States, U.K., Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Japan, and South Africa present papers on key topics in law and development including the current status of law and development scholarship, the General Theory of Law and Development and its applications, enhancement and protection of economic and social interests, and development governance and the role of development agencies in the development process.
