Lorena Barrenechea

Lorena works legal counsel at the Technology and Innovation Lab of the World Bank Group. She specializes in AI ethics and regulation, blockchain, cryptoassets and other emerging technologies. Before joining the World Bank Group, Lorena worked as legal advisor at IDB Lab, the innovation laboratory of the Inter-American Development Bank, where she was also part of the fAIr LAC initiative, promoting the ethical use of technology. Lorena holds a Degree in Law and a Master’s Degree in International Business Law.
