Dave Waithe

Dave Waithe is currently Senior Legal Counsel at the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB/Bank) and has over 20 years post-qualification experience practicing law, with specialist knowledge and experience in international business and finance law and information technology and communications law. In his current position, Dave advises and supports the Bank’s management team and operational and corporate services areas on all Bank-related subjects, including advice on infrastructure, energy, social sector, and technical assistance projects and preparation of associated finance documents, including loan, grant, guarantee, and security documentation in compliance with financing terms and applicable laws. Prior to joining CDB in 2009, Dave held senior positions at top regional and international law firms in Barbados and Bermuda and completed internships at recognised firms in San Diego, California and London, England. He has a wealth of experience managing complex, high-value transactions and projects across multiple jurisdictions, in areas such as corporate finance, capital markets and securities, mergers and acquisitions and funds and investment services to name a few. Dave holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of London and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the West Indies and is admitted to practice law in Barbados, Bermuda and Trinidad and Tobago.
